Race Tip

CLARENS comes into this at the top of his game and can complete a hat-trick. He got off the mark on a fairly sound surface at Listowel before following up on heavy ground at Wexford which connections felt wasn't ideal for him. He looks progressive enough to defy a 9lb hike in his rating. Ricky Langford has been performing well over fences and hurdles and his last run in this discipline saw him finish runner-up to a mare who was completing a hat-trick of her own at Punchestown. He should be competitive again off a 2lb higher mark. Dixie Flyer has to leave behind a moderate effort at Limerick but if reproducing the form of his Listowel second to The Names Jock would have good claims and this handicap debutant is tried in a tongue-tie for the first time.
